5 Steps to Be a Great Content Writer!


Aspiring to become an Exceptional Content Writer? Relax folks, no rocket science it is. It is only during the past few years, content marketing has become the hot topic amongst people and it is believed to be the idealistic way of making your things work with the internet. Internet is no more ruled by poor links, spam and to be very bold – content marketing can replace SEO also. After a two months of internship experience in echoVME (Digital and Social Marketing Services Agency, Chennai), I was able to draft this out for all those who yearn to become a content writer. So, no matter if you’re a born baby or a veteran to business world, look at these 5 things and ensure if you’re a master!


1        1. Start with YOU

Puzzled?? Let me brief it. A successful Content writing Star never tries to begin his content with his popular brand, with huge fan following, with neither SEO nor Social media. Start with a bang, lauding the personal brand called “YOU”. Voice yourself in a short bio and let your readers know as how and why you wanted them to remain engaged with your content for a while. How you write, what you write and how well you make readers nod ‘yes’ and give them an emotional connect is all that matters a bunch.

2      2. Know Your Target Audience

Never should we forget that internet is still densely populated by people than brands. People hop into internet for very many reasons of theirs that gives them a series of results. Therefore, decide on the set of audience whom you want to target. A detailed and deep understanding of your audiences’ tastes, demography, likes and dislikes is to be read. KNOW them and then sketch your content plan every time so that you become a successful stalker.

3     3. Stick to a Purpose

As content writers, we have to be clear with the view that internet is a doorstep of communication that is served by the people and for the people. That said, content without any benefit interests no readers. Show off to your audiences that you love them with your relevant posts and be loved back. It’s okay that even if you can make a single good blog a day, rather than just writing content that don’t support your theme.

4     4. Optimize Your Content

Optimization is essential to make sure that Google is able to track your content and place it in the search engine results. Efficient and smart mix of words with the right SEO sense makes your content more popular in the Google results.

5     5. Be social

Be clear that social media is not just a form of content but an avenue of communication. Ensure that in a pool of your target audience, no one is left unnoticed. Make new friends, stay casual, cool and connected with everyone. Provide interesting contents that helps the readers to easily relate with on their respective social media platforms. Don’t give the least preference to adding your distribution channels in your content marketing strategy. 

An important aspect that is not to be left aside is the headlines that you choose. Stay awake that you don’t bore your audience with repetitive and common tags. Utilize the gateway of making your first impression.
